The hotel is located in the historic center of Thessaloniki and is the result of conversions and interventions in a pre-existing static structure of an apartment building, with the parallel addition of sections and new floors. The aim was to create a modern and environmentally friendly building, which would interact with the public spaces, life and rhythms of the city. In terms of the basic materials and the color palette, aluminum, glass, wood image elements in shades and canopies and modern, earthy shades play a dominant role. During the design, special attention was paid to issues of environmental balance, energy saving and sustainability. This resulted in the classification of the building in category A+. The project was awarded in its initial, original concept – for the architecture and interior design – as V45 -by delblu architetti & associates, at the Europe’s Property Awards 2019-2020 and at the International Property Awards 2019-2020, winning respectively the Best Hotel Architecture -Greece awards , Best Hotel Architecture Europe and NOMINEE Best International Hotel Architecture.
