This unique hotel was designed aiming to offer visitors the greatest possible harmonized relation with the natural environment. The dominant element of the design is the water, just as it happens in the wider region where the hotel is located. (A location full of waterfalls and natural thermal pools along the river’s flow nearby.) With obvious disposition to maintain man’s scale and dimension, “gaps” and “filled” spaces interact between themselves and intrude into each other, in an attempt to eliminate the boundaries between built and open spaces.

This is a modern city-hotel, in an area recently incorporated in the city plan of Veroia, whose design is influenced by the immediate proximity to the central football stadium of the city. This relationship is reflected not only in the material used (such as exposed concrete, glass fronts, aluminum), but also in its forms and volumes (such as cubes, cones, etc.)

Cavo Olympo luxury resort is located just over 2 km. from Litochoro village, near Katerini. The design concept was based on the effort to ensure an unobstructed view of the sea, in the greatest possible number of rooms. For this reason the shape chosen of the central volume which hosts all public areas is a pointed oval. In its edges the two “wings” of the rooms are developed, forming a “hug” that provides a view to the sea. There, one can find the outdoor swimming pools and resting areas of the hotel complex.
